Sara Potecha is an accomplished author, speaker and consultant who has led cultural transformation initiatives for Fortune 100 and 200 companies and coached hundreds of leaders to higher levels of performance. A masterful story teller, Sara is a sought-after speaker on such topics as women in leadership, veteran employment, emotional intelligence, change, resilience and leadership competency. Sara began her career as an Army Officer supervising over 300 highly skilled technicians while stationed in Europe. The technical expertise gained through her military service served her well when she began her corporate career working in the Information Technology (IT) department for a large credit card company. However, it was her leadership skills that propelled her career as she was called upon to address and solve more complex people issues. Eventually, this led to her to serving as the Director of Change Management for a mortgage company. Always an entrepreneur at heart, Sara launched her highly successful management consulting firm in 2014 and most recently added to her resume by publishing her book and becoming a best-selling author. In her first non-fiction business book, West Point Woman, Sara delves into fundamental leadership precepts taught to her at a tender age at the United States Military Academy and applied in all her varied roles. She captures her audiences through powerful, and often hilarious, personal stories while teaching her readers how to cultivate the character within. Sara holds a bachelor’s degree in General Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master’s degree in Organizational Management and Development from Fielding Graduate University. She credentialed as a John Maxwell certified speaker and coach and a National Speakers Association (NSA) certified speaker. When Sara is not speaking, writing or coaching you will find her outdoors – on a bike, a hike or skiing with her husband and her adult children..
